About Swiss Army Knives
In 1884, Swiss cutler Karl Elsener set up shop in Ibach-Schwyz, installing a waterwheel in Tobelbach Brook to run his grinding and polishing machines. Thus began what would become the international brand name Victorinox, a combination of Victoria, for Elsener's mother, and 'inox,' or stainless steel. Today, Victorinox produces watches, luggage, clothing, and, famously, Swiss Army Knives. The original product dates to 1897, when Elsener patented the Swiss Officer's and Sports Knife he supplied to the Swiss Army. Following World War II, American servicemen and women shopping in PX stores shortened the name to Swiss Army Knife, which lives on in English-speaking countries around the world and has become a metaphor for versatility.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good Knife and great price for the deal of the day
I got it for the deal of the day for 20 dollars, and i couldnt be happier. It works great for what i need it for. Has a ton of little gadgets in it and has come in handy so far. The only thing i dont like about it much is the blades are pretty small, but thats okay though.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I love this knife!
This is the prefect knife to place on a keychain! I just love having it available for the things that happen in life: snagged threads get snipped, hangnails get clipped and batteries on my children's toys get changed with ease. I might order another for my husband!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Handy knife
Great knife that's handy to have in your car, key chain, pocket, etc. Quality product from Victorinox....those Swiss don't mess around!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - So little, so light, so useful!
This little knife lives on my "tools keychain," which dangles from my purse on a clip. It is a tiny toolkit in a very compact and lightweight form. The only thing that's missing is a corkscrew; the scissors work, the screwdrivers are a helpful size, and everything else is as sharp or as effective as it should be.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Nice toy
This is a quality knife. I agree with the other reviewers about the virtues of this gadget, so I won't repeat them. There are a few negatives though.

The worst aspect is that the LED light. It is too weak to be useful. It doesn't help that the color is red. A complete waste.

The knife is rather thick. Yes, it will easily fit in your pocket, but for an every day carry, I suggest a thinner knife from the same manufacturer, such as the "Classic."

This knife has lots of features, which is mostly a blessing. But I find that I have to hunt for the blade I want to use, this takes time and is annoying. Once again, a smaller knife might actually be more useful.

I bought this knife as a sort of toy, and for that it is quite good. Some of the blades are quite clever.
