Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - solid, but crooked
I hate this about a lot of pressed board furniture: the pre-drilled holes are not in the right place and the drawers and doors are all crooked when you're finished.

It looks sloppy. The door is the only straight piece on this because it can be adjusted with the hinges.

The keyboard tray slides out very easily which is sometimes not so with this type of furniture. It is a beautiful color and would look awesome if the drawers weren't so crooked.

It's very solid, doesn't wobbly at all and has just the right amount of storage space. It has a nice thin 2 shelf system above the filing cabinet section that is perfect for routers, cable modems & other small devices to be placed and free up desk/floor space.

Next time I will be spending more for real wood furniture with STRAIGHT drawers. But for the price, this serves it's purpose well.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Amazon pricing is unacceptable!!!
This feedback is within two weeks of assembling the desk.

Pros:
-- I got what I was looking for - a corner desk.

Cons:
-- The drawer on upper left corner does not line up correctly.
-- The desk is difficult and awkward to move. Plan to use the desk for at least 2-5 years.
-- The desk scratches very easily.
-- You will have to purchase a longer monitor, keyboard, and mouse cables.
I ended up buying a wireless keyboard/mouse.
Amazon pricing is not correct!!!
-- I found the same desk at Walmart for 187.78 and Amazon will not price match!!!
Here is the URL to Walmart's desk:

I used to blindly shop at Amazon, now I won't!!!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Looks good but somewhat flimsy
Pros:
1.Appearance-Desk looks very sophisticated
2.Style-Elegant design
3.Storage-Fairly sizable drawers

Cons:
1.Workmanship-although the materials look good it is rather cheap and easily damaged. The desk is assembled in two large pieces and when moving there is significant strain at the connection interface.
2.Drawers don't line up precisely
3.Due to the location of the tower, a lot of the wires had to be stretched significantly in order to reach the surge protector. This makes addition of peripherals VERY difficult since pulling out the tower is nearly impossible without ripping the wires out.
4.Pulling the tower scratches the finish.
5.Assembly took a VERY long time and I have experience assembling many of these types of furniture.
6.Tower seems to heat up a lot faster inside the compartment due to poor airflow.

Bottom line: Not bad for the price, but certainly not great.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Not recommend for family has toddlers
This desk looks nice, but the quality is poor. The drawers were damage when received, I called the customer service and they sent me the new ones.
Some parts of the desk should be metal but they are plastic instead. So, it is very easy to break. My 16 months old son opened the drawers and CPU door a few times and they broke. They are very easy to get scratches.

Sales of semiconductors in November indicate that consumer products such as LCD (liquid crystal display) TVs, digital music players, and other devices sold well during the holidays, the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) said Monday.

November chip sales rose 2.3 percent year-on-year to $23.1 billion, the SIA said.

Unit demand has far outpaced last year. But falling chip prices have hurt industry revenue, the chip association said. For example, DRAM (dynamic RAM) bit shipments grew 25 percent in the three months through mid-December, but average selling prices have declined 20 percent over the same period.

The association also noted that rising energy prices and concerns about the sub-prime lending issue in the U.S. do not appear to have had a significant impact on consumer spending for the holidays, the SIA said. The group reiterated its forecast that worldwide semiconductor sales will reach a new record in 2007. But it will take a stronger than expected December selling season to reach the 3.8 percent growth goal the group had forecast earlier this year, the SIA said.

Investment banking firm Credit Suisse was not as optimistic as the SIA.

The November data was below normal seasonal trends, noted analyst John Pitzer, in a report on Monday. Even if December reaches its normal seasonal growth, 2007 industry revenue will only reach $255.7 billion, up 3.2 percent over last year. The growth percentage would fall short of the SIA's 3.8 percent target.

The slow November prompted Credit Suisse to lower its 2008 chip industry revenue forecast to 9.4 percent year-on-year growth, down from a previous target of 13 percent.
