Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Take some getting used to, no real noise reduction
I bought these earphones for jogging, after my run-of-the-mill Ipod earphones wore out. At first, I thought I had received the wrong earphones: tinny sound, no detectable additional bass. I considered returning them, but as I fiddled with them, I realized I had to push the bud well into my ear canal to get the full effect; which does provide good bass and decent sound. The "noise cancellation" is merely the result of the earbuds being pushed into the ear; I don't think there are any special electronics involved. I'm not sure the intrusiveness of the design is very good for my (or your) hearing long-term. It's also nearly impossible to keep the earphones in place while you're running. The best use I have found for them is on the plane: if you push them in and keep them clamped in you'll manage to somewhat drown out the roar of the jet engines. [Divx movies have notoriously low sound levels].
Overall, I find most earphones to be vastly overpriced. These are no exception, but if you intend to use them while stationary, they will serve their stated purpose. If you're active, you may want to consider those nifty "over-the-ear" earphones engineered to stay in place as you move.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Awesome sound!
I used the V-MODA earbuds for my inexpensive MP3 player. First of all I was impressed with the earbuds that came with the MP3 player, but when I replaced them with the V-MODA's I was totally blown away with the bass response and the clean high's. Definitley a good value and a quality product.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Awesome Bass From a Headphone!!
The V-moda Bass Freq is by far the best headphone I have ever used! It delivers awesome sound and just the right amount of bass. I never thought a headphone would be able to create bass, but these defintely proved me wrong! The noise cancelling earbuds are great for running/working out or just everyday use.The Bass Freq also come in many different colors. These are definitely worth buying!

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Music Lovers, Be Warned.
Let me begin by saying that when these bad boys were fully functional, they were amazing. I'm no sound expert, but the bass was bumpin' (when I was listening to electronica and house like daft punk and justice), yet songs with a lot of treble (like"Last Nite" by the Strokes") sounded exceptional as well.

That is... while these stupid things worked.
Two months into buying them, I get them out of my pocket only to discover that the left earbud stopped working. I tried contacting V-Moda but gave up, cause I ended up losing the earphones haha.

Seriously though, if you enjoy wasting 35 dollars on a product that will work well... for 2 months.. then go ahead.
I am not alone in saying these things can and will break. Many other reviews here agree with me, so do yourself a favor music lovers. Look elsewhere and buy yourself another pair of more durable earphones. You deserve it.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Sounded Great While They Worked
They truly do have great sound if you are fond of the lows freq. in audio. Only complaint I have is I bought mine May 28, 2008 and noticed yesterday Aug 20, 2008 the left bud stopped working. That's not even 3 months and I have been taking extra care with them.
