Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Really useful gadget
I find these really useful in my computer shop. They do require an AC adapter with molex and sata power connectors for use with 3.5" hard drives. (The 2.5" laptop drives get enough power from the USB port alone.) So make sure it comes with an AC adapter. Don't know about the OTB (one touch backup) feature - haven't used that.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Good buy.
This product works great. The best part about it is that it has the power cord so you can access an internal hard drive like it was an external one. Good purchase. You should buy it.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great way to test ide/sata drives
This a great thing for people who are upgrading or changing different systems around. I have had it for over a year, used on CD/DVD drives large 3 1/2" & 2.5 drives. Just using it once will pay for it. Far easier to use than a case.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Can't get it to work
It says that XP doesn't need a driver, and no XP drivers are included on the disc... but XP Professional SP2 does not recognize the USB device and I can't use my new toy. I've tried it on 4 machines here in the office and nothing is recognizing it yet. :-(

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent choice, works with all drives
I needed an adapter to save the data off an old laptop that had died, and it's working just fine for that 2.5" IDE disk. With 3.5" and 2.5" parallel ATA and S-ATA ports and a seperate power supply, you can hook up practically all desktop and laptop drives out there, so this is a very welcome addition to my tool bag for helping out friends and family with computer problems.

(Some subnotebooks use iPod-style 1.8" disk drives which have different connectors, so this adapter won't work for them. But most machines sold in the past 15 years will have a hard disk that is compatible.)

NEW w/OTB Adapter (2.5/3.5/5.25') IDE + SATA to 2.0 USB
