Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Hand wash / line dry ONLY!!!
I was initially very pleased with the product and the wear. They are very comfortable and do a very good job of what they were intended for- compression. Throughout the day, they do a good job of actually staying all the way up to the knee.

Be warned though...these socks are hand wash and line dry only.

As someone who is in a combat zone, I wanted these socks to augment with my Converse combat boots and they do an outstanding job. This is really important as I don't have the greatest circulation in my lower legs (hereditary). Unfortunately, twelve hour shifts, seven days a week, amounts to very little off time to accomodate the hand washing and line drying. So, like the rest of my clothing, everything went into the machines. As a result, after one wash & dry cycle, some of the socks now have holes which, if worn, run like pantyhose.

I suppose I will have to try again with some compression socks that one can throw in the wash with the rest of the whites.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Compression
These are great. Besides working great on the muscles, they also provide relief of shin splint type injuries. After months of failed treatments I was able to return to running because of these. Less cramping and aches in covered areas after working out to. Technically great product. On the aesthetic side, be prepared for some strange looks or snickers if used in a sport where high top socks are not the norm.

Not a lot to say. Bought Oxysox at Fleet Feet in Washington,DC a couple of years ago. My son wanted another pair. Could not find them anywhere in this area. Got a pair through Amazon (not quite the same as the original ones, but ok) Price at $19.95 was the same. Shipping cost of $7.98 seemed a bit high for such a lightweight item.

Sales of semiconductors in November indicate that consumer products such as LCD (liquid crystal display) TVs, digital music players, and other devices sold well during the holidays, the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) said Monday.

November chip sales rose 2.3 percent year-on-year to $23.1 billion, the SIA said.

Unit demand has far outpaced last year. But falling chip prices have hurt industry revenue, the chip association said. For example, DRAM (dynamic RAM) bit shipments grew 25 percent in the three months through mid-December, but average selling prices have declined 20 percent over the same period.

The association also noted that rising energy prices and concerns about the sub-prime lending issue in the U.S. do not appear to have had a significant impact on consumer spending for the holidays, the SIA said. The group reiterated its forecast that worldwide semiconductor sales will reach a new record in 2007. But it will take a stronger than expected December selling season to reach the 3.8 percent growth goal the group had forecast earlier this year, the SIA said.

Investment banking firm Credit Suisse was not as optimistic as the SIA.

The November data was below normal seasonal trends, noted analyst John Pitzer, in a report on Monday. Even if December reaches its normal seasonal growth, 2007 industry revenue will only reach $255.7 billion, up 3.2 percent over last year. The growth percentage would fall short of the SIA's 3.8 percent target.

The slow November prompted Credit Suisse to lower its 2008 chip industry revenue forecast to 9.4 percent year-on-year growth, down from a previous target of 13 percent.
