Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - It works as advertised
Easy to connect (includes the cables); readily allows you to operate two PC's using one mouse, monitor, keyboard and set of speakers. {Note: there's a PS-2 KVM switch available if you have PS-2 mouse & keyboard.} My only problem is waking a sleeping PC (on power scheme); hitting the keyboard spacebar doesn't do it. Otherwise, you can easily switch between running PC's using the "hot key" (scroll-lock + scroll-lock, preprogramed). I got this to assist in migrating from an old PC to a new PC, but was so much fun I've kept the old one in place as an "installed spare/back-up".

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - works good
It works good. I have a Compaq PC with Windows XP. The switching takes about 5 seconds. There are 2 connection sounds that you hear from the PC speakers when the switch is done (just normal Windows sounds), so you know when control is passed from one PC to another. I hit the "scroll lock" key twice for my switching. You can also switch by using the 2 buttons on top of the unit (but my unit is on top of my PC, which sits on the floor).

I usually put my main PC to sleep. I used to do hibernate, but that seems to have problems with the KVM (sometimes). So, I use sleep mode instead, and it works great.

I would buy it again, if I needed one.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Doesn't work
I was pretty excited about getting this KVM switch, but after hooking it up, i was pretty disappointed. When i hooked it up i found out although it says it works with a pretty high resolution, (i have an lcd screen) everything seems fuzzy and doesn't look that good. there was no way i could get it to work.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Works perfectly
I am using this kvm switch on a Power Mac and an HP box running Linux, and it does its job well. All the cables needed are included, and it is easy to hook up.

Even the audio sounds good, unlike a different brand that my son bought, and he gave up on the audio switching because of the poor sound quality. I am running mine through a 100 watt stereo receiver and Boston Acoustic speakers, and there is no sound degradation.

I didn't install any software, so I'm using the buttons on the switch itself, and switching takes about one second to complete. I have had no problems and am very happy with this purchase.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great Price and Great Product!
Very simple plug and play set up. Works with wireless keyboard and mouse. The hot key switch works perfectly for fast switching between computers.
My only complaint is that the cable to hook up to your computer has a hard piece of plastic that holds the cables together too close to the end of the cables. So if you have a 14" laptop with a usb port on the opposite side as your monitor port then the cable won't reach both ports. However, it is possible to remove this plastic piece if you have a knife and a lot of patience. Once the plastic is removed you can separate the cables to make them reach their ports.
