Editorial Review:

Amazon.com Product Description:
The ingenious Toro ratcheting pruner allows for easy cutting with the least amount of effort. It's ideal for cutting roses and dead branch material, because the strong aluminum die-cast body gives the pruner extra strength while the ergonomically shaped handles with TPR (thermo plastic rubber) inserts provide extra cushioning and a non-slip grip. The blade is made from high carbon steel and has a non-stick coating for top cutting performance and a long lasting cutting edge. It also has patented center oiler bolt technology for ease of maintenance of the tool, allowing for continuous lubrication during operation. This Ratcheting Pruner can cut up to 7/8-inches and has a lifetime warranty.

Customer Reviews

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good quality, good warranty
My pruners arrived with a missing nut but the customer service rep at Toro happily mailed me a new pair. They work very well for someone with little hand strength. They're great for cuts on branches of trees and shrubs, especially the ones that have died and I need to cut them back. They do not, however, replace bypass pruners for delicate stems like roses or hydrangeas. They can crush some stems, not always, but it is worth mentioning. Compared to other ratcheting pruners, these are light, comfortable and the holes in the handle make it possible to hang on a nail.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - OK for light pruning
I found these pruners fine for light pruning and dead heading. They are mildly disappointing as some very small tasks take two or more clips to make the cut. Still they are lightweight and comfortable to use. Considering the price, I am satisfied with them.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - a bargin that works unreal good
for the money it is well worth it,i told freinds and they bought also & was pleased thxs amazon

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - good product
This is a good set of ratchet clippers, solidly built.
Ratchet clippers are, in my opinion, better than the
non-ratchet but more common type, because of the leverage action.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent product....
I have been gardening for nearly twenty years. I am a serious gardener which means that I do a lot of heavy pruning, trimming, and shearing, also. Translation...I do not plant a few annuals in a pot and call myself a gardener. These pruners are the best that I've ever owned. They require nearly NO effort on my part in order to cut through some very thick branches, etc. I recommend it!!
