An interesting episode....
In all three seasons of Slayers, there are those few random episodes that while have nothing to do with the plot, are hilarious. These were so random that I wondered if I had missed a episode or something. Despite this they're very funny with the usual Slayers humor (Lina's reactions to military penguins and dancing vegetable people).
It can be compared the first season's episode of when Lina and Co. join a troup of actors...or in Next when they play Brass Rackets.
Buy it, it's worth the insanity value. ^_~

Funny stuff! A nice break from the series.
Slayers takes a vacation. Lina ends up in Wonderland being befuddled by a dimension traveling pig man. Goury starves on an island of fish people while Amelia is playing matchmaker between human and fish. Soon Goury becomes mermaid bait for a giant sea serpent with a magical gem in its skull. Pretty funny stuff and very refreshing to see the Slayers team broken down into smaller bits and examined more carefully then with a few lines each when all together. Though off the course of the main storyline this tape makes for some enjoyable entertainment.

Personally I would skip this tape.
On the back of the box: In the aftermath of the latest battle, Lina wakes up in a strange land, where the animals can talk and people's heads are made of vegetables! The pictures on the back of the box are of the pig in the first eposide talking to lina in an alice in wonderland dress and Gourry dressed as a girl mermaid.
Personally: I am a HUGE fan of slayers, (I have all the videos to date) but on this tape the wackyness got a little to far out there for me. If you aren't into insanity I would skip this tape and go on to 'A Hero Decends'. If you like insanity give the tape a try! If you are skipping this tape what you need to know is this: They were all seperated after the explosion in the last tape and currently they are trying to find each other. Lina found Zelgadas and then Fillia found them. They are traveling to a fish Island where Gourry and Amelia are.

Slayers... (almost) 'nuff said
Well... Not really to say much about this vid. Just that you HAVE to have it if your a Slayers fan. As usual, this video is great... I could say that this movie is a bit like all the others, but I won't, cause I think Slayers is just a winning formula (like the Final Fantasy series). Each new movie and episode has lots of clever humor and good artwork. Slayers Try is (I think) the least known Slayers, That is probably because many people think it's a little weird (weirder than normal) and "diffrent" from the other Slayers movies. Which are of course, just as great as this one. Enough talking now, just buy it or fall into eternal disgrace!
