Amazon.com Product Description: The ultimate pocket radio, Sangean's popular DT200V is imminently compact but loaded with convenient features, from its 19 station presets to its drift-free, PLL synthesized tuning, auto station scanning, TV sound reception, and handy belt clip. Listen through the built-in speaker or the supplied ear bud headphones. Forgot to turn it off? No worries: it shuts itself off after 60 minutes to conserve batteries (its sole source of power). The radio's high-impact ABS case virtually guarantees long life.
Batteries should last 30 to 40 hours at moderate volume through the unit's single speaker and slightly longer on the included ear bud headphones. Pocket use was taken into account even at the level of ear bud manufacture: if you put your radio in your pocket, it's less distance to one ear than to the other, so one side of the headphone cord is accordingly shorter. The DT200V runs on 2 AA batteries, not included.
What's in the Box Radio, ear bud headphones, belt clip, trailing antenna, and a user's manual.

Best little radio I ever owned
This little radio has perfect reception and a clear sound. It's not my Kenwood home theater, but it does what its supposed to do perfectly well.
I just bought my second radio after my wife has been "stealing" mine. I decided its time to get her one for herself so we both have one now.
I take this radio fishing, camping, while sitting at my desk at work and on appointments where there will be a wait. The unit fits easily in a larger shirt pocket, is about the size of a cell phone and produces great sound for a little unit.
I happen to hate using headphones so I use the radio with the antenna (included) plugged into the headphone jack for perfect reception allowing the sound to come out of its small but powerful speaker (like a tiny boom box).
The few times I have plugged my expensive headphones into the radio, the sound was absolutely fantastic so this radio will work perfectly well as a "walkman" type of radio as well.
This is a well rounded, solidly built "working man's" portable radio ready to be taken wherever you want. I've had mine for several months now and can attest it works flawlessly. I use mine every single day at work listening to my favorite radio morning show.

Quality reception and sound
This unit is of great quality and durability. I can pickup distant AM and FM channels with ease. Typical radios are overpowered in the area by local stations, this radio's digital tuner picks up distant channels with quality sound.

needs improvement
This radio is much improved from the older model that I have. The case is better made and button layout better but the sound output from the ear bud is not good at all. It is scratchy to a level that I can,t use the ear buds at all. I tried other ear buds and all setings on the radio with no improvement

Sangean DT200VX
Nice radio, pleasantly surprised. Case is metal ( not plastic) and size is just right for pocket use.
The speaker is adequate and ear buds work fine. I find I need the aerial wire to get certain stations, but overall not a problem. I like the 90 min time out feature. I have not had to change batteries yet.
The instructions were a little cryptic, but adeqwuate. Everything appears to work as advertised. I have not used the TV audio feature. Depending on your needs, this is a great general purpose AM/FM pocket radio that is well constructed.
