For those who like to listen to books, the Sansa View supports more than 35,000 audiobook titles available at audible.com (additional fees apply). There's a built-in microphone for recording your own audio files, too! The built-in microphone is a great feature for recording important business meetings, classes, or your neighbor's up-and-coming garage band.

The Sansa View comes with 8 GB of built-in memory--enough to store 12 hours of video or 2,000 MP3 audio files--and its MicroSD/SDHC memory card slot means storage possibilities are essentially unlimited. To ensure speedy file transfers, the unit features a USB 2.0 connection. Simply connect the player to a PC and start dragging files from your Windows Media Player 10 application. The convenient USB 2.0 connection also charges the player's Li-Poly battery when connected to a PC. The player supports MPEG4, WMV, and H.264 video files and audio files saved in MP3, secure and unsecured WMA, non-DRM ACC, and WAV file formats. The player supports picture viewing, too. JPEG photo files up to 16 megapixels can be viewed in extreme clarity on the unit's full-color display. Rating: - A great Christmas present
This is the other side of my husband's Christmas present - and no doubt he is going to be extremely pleased that I purchased this item for him. I'm excited for him to see it !

After about 3 months things started going down hill really fast. After leaving it in the car on a summer day something went wrong with the with the power saver. I'd charge it over night and the next morning it would be dead. I'd listen to it for 5 minutes, turn it off, then turn it back on and it would be at half power. Recently the screen broke. That just gave me a good reason to get rid of it.

Trust me, keep looking.

This SanDisk Sansa View 8 GB Video MP3 Player is packed with features at a price that is far below what you would expect to pay for this level of features and quality. First the screen is the perfect size for portability, it is neither too big to be portable nor too small to make it hard to view. You can download and watch full length movies as well as most other videos and photos. Of course you can download a tremendous number of songs but, for those times when you don't want to bother with downloading new songs or simply want to listen to something different, you can also listen to the built in FM Radio with presets. This unit can also be used as a voice recorder great for meetings or classes. This unit feels substantial in your hands and features very easy to use controls. This is a feature packed powerhouse at a budget friendly price. If you are looking for the features of an iPod video but don't want to pay the high price then this is the player for you! I would not hesitate for one moment to recommend this fantastic item to everyone. The only one small downside is that in order to charge the battery you need to plug it into your computer. This is easily corrected however with the optional AC adapter and car adapter for those times your away from a wall outlet but still need charging.

The thing is sweet. Great quality, and is wonderful except one thing:
I can't get it to play movies. Even in .mp4 format, it only seems to play music videos.

I bought my Sansa View to use with [...]. It is extremely easy to use and to read. I am visually impaired so the screan size was a main factor in my purchase. I can also transfer pictures and videos onto it as well. A great buy.
