Shake, Rattle and Roll
The Sansa Shaker gets its name from its most exciting feature--the ability to jump to the next song by simply shaking the device. You can also use the colorful controller bands for advancing/rewinding and changing volume. Kids ages 8 and up can have a blast with their favorite songs. Even the system sounds are fun, with an 'Uh-Oh' sound indicating a low battery, and other sound effects.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - we own two
Both of my daughters ages 5 and 7 have these. They received them at Christmas when they were 4 and 6. These things are wonderful! They work with or without earbuds(we use headphones). They are loud and the music is clear. They are amazing. And they won't fall apart if you drop them. I like them as much as my children do.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Daughter loves it!
I bought these for my kids. They were using mine on long trips, so I wanted them to have something of their own. My daughter loves hers. It's different from mine in that it has the speaker so she can unplug the headphones and listen to it while she's playing games, school work or whatever it might be. I also like that it has a second plug in for headphones so she can listen to it with a friend if she wants to. I bought her the 512 mb, but with this mp3 player, you have the option of switching to 1gb or higher just be switching the SD card. Or you can have multiple cards with different music.

Personally, I like SanDisk products, so this one being such a hit with my daughter is a bonus. The battery is inserted into the bottom of the player. To remove the cap, place the bottom of the player in the palm of your hand and twist it - like removing the cap from one of the child-proof medicine bottles.

I give this one an A+. Great features, easy to use (my daughter is 7 by the way) and easy to upgrade or switch the SD cards and fun to use for kids her age.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - So far so good
I bought two of these Sansa Players for my younger sisters, and they are happy with them. The fact that they have a removable SD card is great, and the uploading of the songs is not complicated. Besides, for the price, the player is really cute and functional.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Brings out smiles!
We purchased this product because my daughter loves hearing music. And this allows her to take her music anywhere she wants to go! With a shake or a twist, she can navigate to the song she wants to hear....on her demand. And it's compact so it's perfect for little hands. The speaker on the unit produces clear sound and there are plugs for earphones for 2! Since my son wanted to take his sister's all the time, we purchased another for him. And they have dropped this music player on the ground many times and it seems to take the abuse. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent Little MP3 Player!
We bought this for our 5-year old daughter. Even though the reviews were pretty good; we didn't expect much because it seemed so cheap. Well, we more than love the SanDisk Sansa Shaker! My daughter has carried it around everywhere since we bought it. One bonus feature, that we didn't know, is the top of the Shaker is a speaker, so you can use the player without the headphones. My daughter has dropped it twice, including ceramic tile floor, and it still works. There was no x-rated music preloaded as one person indicated. I did have some problems with bottom staying closed as some people indicated. However, my husband came home and figured out that it needs click on and we haven't had any problems since.
So all the negative remarks that I read I have found are not the case...at least with our player! This thing is absolutely perfect!!!

On paper, the Mio DigiWalker P550 looks to be an attractive gadget for the mobile professional, combining the capabilities of a PDA and GPS into one device. However, its poor battery life and subpar navigation skills tell a different story.

Though it won't appeal to the masses quite yet, the Nokia N800 Internet Tablet is a nice, portable device for on-the-go Web browsing, and it has some worthy upgrades.

Though it has a few design and performance glitches, the Sony Ericsson W300i is a quality, basic MP3 cell phone.

Diesel vehicles have nearly a 50-percent market share in Europe, thanks to tax incentives and diesel-friendly legislation across the EU. Diesels are so passé there that you can buy a BMW 730d and no one will think it odd that your luxury car burns oil. Pull up in a diesel 7-Series in America and people would leer at you like you've alighted from an amphibious vehicle reeking of saltwater and dead trout.

But now, thanks to the oft-reported combo of newly-raised CAFE standards, not-so-newly-raised gas prices, and the 50-state diesel engine, GM, Ford, and Chrysler are about to dip more than a hesitant toe into the diesel game. Chrysler offers a diesel in the Grand Cherokee, but soon all three automakers will offer diesels in their best-selling lineups of light trucks -- the Dodge Ram 1500 is expected to offer a 50-state diesel after 2009. Light trucks are being used to lead the charge since those buyers stand to gain the most with the least amount of (perceived) sacrifice.

Diesels currently have 3.2-percent of the American market. Some estimates put them at 15-percent by 2015. That's a huge leap, and diesel still has plenty of hurdles. Diesels will come with a cost premium over gasoline-engined cars. That should be easy enough to conquer -- incentives and some quick cost and longevity calculations should convince people of the benefit. The real hurdle is the nagging issue of perception. The plan will probably be to attack that with a price that makes the proposition unbeatable. Said Chrysler's director of environmental affairs, "If it's priced right, we can sell diesel here. Diesel can give you an immediate poke in fuel economy -- 20 to 40 percent. Not many technologies can deliver that today."
