Great for cystic acne!
This product is great for those painful bumps that never come to a head. They're considerably smaller by morning, if not completely gone. I used the buffering lotion every day until my cystic acne was gone, and now i only use it once in a while when I have a flare up. This worked faster and better than all of the different topical prescriptions my dermatologist prescribed! I use a bunch of products from the Mario Badescu line and I like them a lot.

Does it do anything other than dry your skin out?
I have oily skin yet this product seems to make it flake. The watery consistency doesn't seem to be conducive to spot treatment so I put it on a cotton ball and wipe affected areas with it so I may be getting too much on my skin. I would put up with these issues if it seemed to work on acne of any kind but it doesn't at all. I do like other Mario Badescu products, which seem to do a better job than this product. The Acne Facial Cleanser, Botanical Facial gel, Special Cleansing Lotion C, and Special Cucumber Lotion are all great products, pretty natural ingredients for the most part, and while not miracle workers, do a really good job with my problem/acne prone/oily skin.

Works like a charm
This is great at taking the redness out and works really well on the deep cystic pimples. It does dry your skin out a bit so I recommend using it in very small amounts.

inconsistent and drying
Well, I have mixed feelings about this product. The first time I used it, I woke up with smaller pimples, so I got my hopes up. Then it lost its effectiveness and started to dry out my skin big-time. I moisturize my skin, which tends to be dry. I suppose this would be fine for oily skin, but I have dry skin with lots of acne, which is a curse because it means there is a lot of DEEP oil rooted in there, but I can't seem to access that oil to dry it out, without drying out the top layer of my skin. When I use this as a spot treatment, it seems to help somewhat, but not always. If you can afford it, it doesn't hurt to try it out and see if it helps you.

best anti acne product available
this is the best product for controlling acne of all kinds, but most importantly the deep kind. They say use every other night, but you can use every night if necessary.
