Light, portable, and strong
This is an awesome monopod. In the case of monopods, you get what you pay for. I owned a Velbon aluminum monopod (about $40 on amazon) and it was ok, but the legs started to slide from the weight and the rubber foot fell off. I use this monopod with my 300mm f2.8 and it performs flawlessly. Its light and easy to carry, but it is super strong. The clips never slip even though I have a tendency to lean on it after a long day of shooting. I am 6'1" and so my other monopod always gave me a sore neck. This monopod is thankfully about an inch higher than I need it to be (in case of a growth spurt. Yah, right) so this would be good for anyone in the 6' 2-3" range. Its expensive, yes, but if you shoot enough to need a good monopod, do yourself a favor and by this one.
Pros:
Hight: good for people up to 6' 2-3"
Durable: Magfiber is really strong
Leg Clips wont slip (plus you can tighten them if for some reason they do)
Light and small
Cons
its a little pricy, but you get what you pay for

Tonka Toy Tough
This monopod lives up to the promotions. It's light, tough and versatile. Unfortunately, the Manfrotto 488RC4 midi ball swivel head and quick release mounting plate I put on it increased it's weight substantially. However, compared to the Canon 5D with the USM L IS 100-400mm lens which I pile on top of it, it is relatively light, but sturdy. And it could easily handle much larger cameras and lenses. And, hey, I'd be lying if I said I didn't think the carbon fibre (oops, MagFiber) isn't just plain cool.
My main concern, after watching my students use (and abuse) a variety of Bogen (Manfrotto) tripods for video cameras for a number of years, was that the construction quality wouldn't be satisfactory. Happily, I have been proven wrong - this thing is well made and very easy to use. I even like the ball swivel head.
Still, after it's all said and done, I've found the monopod to be of limited usefulness (just like many photo accessories). Sometimes, you'll get better results with a tripod. Other times, handheld. Nevertheless, I carry this tool with me whenever I go shooting. Occasionally, it fills a need that no other solution can and I really can't imagine a better one.

Surprisingly solid-built, yet extremely light
I have this monopod for a year now. I bought it with the head and the spiked foot. The only negative thing I see about this package is that the head is extremely heavy for this monopod. It weights more-or-less the same as the monopod itself. So keep in mind that when you put the head on, you gain the quick-release and the rotation but you double the weight of this marvel.

Excellent monopod
Very solid and well made. The flip lock mechanism for the legs is easy to use and quick. I also bought the Bogen swivel/tilt head, which allows me to easily adjust the angle of the camera independent of the angle of the monopod. I used it recently on a trip to Arlington Cemetery. During the changing of the guard, I used a 200mm zoom lens to get close to the honor guard. The monopod gave me great stability and easy manuverability amoungst the gathered crowd of tourists. The resulting photos were outstanding in clarity. The monopod feels like it will last a lifetime. Well worth paying it bit more than the cheap Chinese knockoffs.
