Product Description:
The 560B Fluid Monopod brings portability and quality together with its lightweight, stable and fluid design, allowing for smooth panning and image capture in any environment. Designed for compact mini DV and HDV cameras and photo applications, the 560B monopod is highly portable and offers fold up stainless steel feet for additional stability on uneven ground. With the 560B, Manfrotto allows videographers and photographers to produce smooth images even in tight spaces or environments where a tripod may not be allowed, such as sports stadiums, public parks and museums. The 560B monopod provides the stability and quality of a traditional stabilizing device with a fluid head that delivers superior images. The fluid head provides soft movement for smooth and jump-free pans or tilts. The 560B Fluid Monopod is lightweight yet tough. For additional stability on uneven ground, the monopod features stainless steel knobbed feet, which also fold for compact transportation. At the base, a pivot allows for more extensive tilt capabilities and an additional fluid cartridge allows for additional smooth and flawless panning. Its easy lock-off knob secures the current angle setting for angle consistency and stability. The 560B Fluid Monopod also features a counterbalance to help keep weight centered for a steadier camera.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - This Monopod works very well!
I have been futzing with the Glidecam 2000 Pro and it was not working in the wind very well with my JVC GZ HD7 camcorder. I also wanted something easy to use to take pictures of the many beautiful flowers in the Neighborhood.

I am so glad I purchased this Manfrotto 560B. Right from the first time I tried this device in a store, I fell in love with it. See if you too do not fall in love with it... For $148.00, how can you go wrong.

I will be posting the latest video shoot by Sunday showing how this Manfrotto Monopod works at http://vimeo.com/947085 (Lisa's Flower Pictures) Thanks again for a great product.

Kindest and sincerest warm regards,

Lisa J. Kassner,

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - My first monopod
I love the feel of this monopod. It has just enough substance for stability and still remains easy and light to carry around. As a photographer, I've never been comfortable when shooting because I'm always on the move, scanning for the next best action shot and now that I'm getting into videography, I wanted to find an aid to help ensure I capture the smoothest possible footage while I'm dashing about from point to point. A tripod was out of the question since I'm a fumbler and don't want to spend the time setting one up for my "on the run" style of shooting. I was hesitant to start out with a monopod that costs this much (for an entry level video person) but now I'm glad I did. I love the little feet... helps me to always know where my base is and no slipping over the ground when panning or tilting. I bought this to go with my Panasonic PV-GS500
