Editorial Review:Amazon.com Product Description:It's important that your oil fuser-roller be in tip-top shape for your print jobs--the roller is the part of your laser printer that permanently fuses the toner to the paper, and any glitches can seriously interfere with the overall quality of your pages. This oil roller is compatible with the Minolta-QMS Magicolor 2200 and 2210 and offers an average life expectancy of either 7,500 4-color sheets or 21,000 monochrome pages. This life span can be affected by a number of variables, including page coverage, page size, media type, ambient temperature, and humidity. The manufacturer includes a 90-day warranty against defect.

I agree!
This printer is so annoying. It indicates now that it needs a new oil roller. So I'll order that, put the thing in and then it'll indicate it needs something else. It seems like I'm always replacing something. I don't even use it on a daily basis.
I've tried to order products manufacturer direct; but their website is awful. That makes this another joy - finding suppliers for its never ending hunger for parts.

This oil roller is really oily!
The Magic Color 2200 has to be one of the most annoying color printers in the world. There are many expensive parts that need to be replaced on a continual
revolving basis, such that the we never know whether our printer is going to work, or need a new part. That being said, the Konica Minolta 1710475-001 Oil Roller, is quite oily, and the replacement fixes the blinking "Replace Oil Roller" warning. I can't wait to do an "Office Space" beating of this printer when we finally get sick of replacing parts in it.

overall preformance is not that great.
The Minolta qms 2200 printer prints great images. However it is very costly to maintain and breaks often. I think these oil rollers need to be better engineered!

Minolta 2200 QMS Color Laser in Mortgage Business
Someone actually had the initiative, the economics of small business, and the people in its factory to build a machine like this. I have had my 2200 Model for many months.
I wish I had bought another drawer, for Letter size full time,to go with my Legal size drawer(Actually it can either be Letter or Legal). This is not to say I can't Print on Letter at the same time because I can and do everyday, with the alternate feeder. The two drawer system allows 500 of each size paper to be utilized at the same time and not use the alternate feeder
I have used this Printer's maximum capability on many days. Since I am in the Mortgage Business I print color appraisals, loan documents, letters, approvals etc. I "used to have" several Ink Jet Color Printers for the Appraisals; and Black only Laser Jets for everything else. I spent $250-$300 per month on cartridges. My QMS Minolta Color Laser has already paid for itself and "I Love It".
Do I recommend this product? Yes, more than anything else I have ever bought, including food. And the 2nd Drawer is on my Amazon Wish List and in next years budget...
