Rating: - Positive results from camera
Since purchasing this camera, I have been able to get better telescopic pictures than with my previous smaller camera which, helps in the line of work I am in. Pleased with the purchase, speed of delivery and the care taken to assure the camera arrived in one piece.

Rating: - fantastic camera
This is a fantastic camera and has all the features I needed as a newsletter editor and publisher of a flying club journal. The only negative thing is the short battery life with anything less than a 2700 mAh NiCd battery (NiMH 3000Mah are the best), with a good battery and charge the camera will go for weeks. The simm card door is easy to break but functions fine without it. Point and shoot at any air speed provides a clear photo in bright sun or the night sky. The camera has more features than the average person would need. A big thumbs up on this one.

Rating: - Would buy this camera again!
We purchased this camera (our first digital) in 3/05 for our Alaskan cruise. We are very inept photographers so we wanted an easy to operate point and shoot camera that would take wonderful pictures. This camera does it all and 4 yrs later we would still buy this camera!! We actually took some of our photos from Alaska and enlarged to 18x20 and they are fantastic. Used it many times while moving on inland boat tour to see whales and the boat was rocking big time but the photos are amazing. The zoom is great, there are several different setting for scenery, portrait, night time, sports but they are super easy for a novice to use and get exceptional photos. Never had a single maintenence problem with it either. It comes with a rechargeable battery but we rarely use it preferring to use reg AA and carry lots of extras. Digital cameras tend to zip through batteries so we always carry extras! Also if you are brand new to digital cameras you will love this one, it's very user friendly.

Rating: - Kodak surprise
My husband & I took 6 weeks to travel to the western National Parks. Our original camera got dropped in the sand 10 days before leaving. A friend volunteered the Kodak Z740. We ended up taking over 1100 pictures including numerous pics of the beautiful scenery shot from our moving car. Much to our delight the camera performed way beyond our expectations and as soon as we returned we decided to buy one for ourselves. It's easy to hold, simple directions, numerous options and takes a clear picture. We downloaded pics every night to our PC and sent them to friends. For "Joe" picture taker its a great camera.
