I am happy to report that this may be a great buy. I went to the nearby retailers and they all wanted at least $100 for a garbage can. I love the infrared because that way REALLY MESSY or DIRTY HANDS NEVER TOUCH this garbage. It is compact so I can stash in a corner. Just don't put it in a high traffic area, or it will wave at you every time you go by!! lol
