Doesn't stay in position
The design of this footrest is very basic, which is what makes it look nice, but it also means that it doesn't function very well. There's nothing to keep the platform in the position and at the angle where I set it, so after just a minute of resting my feet on it, the platform slides down and is too low to be any of any use. It's too bad that other footrests aren't as sleek. I think someone like me, who needs more than just an inch or two of lift, has to go for the extra functionality of the bulkier designs.

wish it locked in
The footrest came damaged, but I didn't want to mess with returning it and getting another one, so I kept it. It works ok but it does slip around a good bit. On the other hand, it's pretty simple so no complex mechanisms to try to figure out. I'm grateful for the foot support at work.

No more pain
I used to lose circulation to my legs as well as have back pain. Now sitting at my desk to work is a pleasure. The swivel function is great. Allows several positions to be comfortable.

Excellent Product!
This foot rest improves my posture. It easily and automatically adjusts if I tire of one position. My legs, low back, knees, and even my arms feel a relief and comfort using this product. I am exceptionally pleased with this purchase : )

I Waited to Write the Review
I am 5'2" and have searched for a good foot-rest for some time.
I didn't write a review right away as usually when I do that; it turns out later that the product only lasted comfortably for a certain amount of time and then I tired of it; or it gave out. I have had this product for some time now.
This product is truly a leg, kneee, hip and back saver. I find it amazing that so many chairs, couches etc... are made for much taller people with longer thighs, causing short people to either sit at an angle with no low back support so that our feet hit the ground, or sit straight up with no back support. I call this footrest my "equalizer." What is even more amazing to me is that I never realized how "big" furniture was until I got my "equalizer."
As I am an older student in college, I sit at my computer for many, many hours a day and I experienced incredible discomfort until I got this footrest.
The "rest" itself moves for comfort when I change positions, but not by it's self(which is what I was afraid of when buying it). You must deliberatly adjust it with your feet and it does not move around unless you decided to change the position. It is not even remotely hard to adjust it, I do so without even thinking about it, yet it is exceptionally stable in the chosen position. You have to try it to truly understand.
I even use it when I am sitting on my couch watching the news. It has lessened my knee, hip, leg and back pain.
Strange thing is, I never realized how much pain was created by sitting on furniture that is too large for smaller people until I used this and the pain went away. I thought I was just getting older and thats how life was.
Truly, this is a great product. I know that not all people enjoy the same products, but this one even works for my 6'3" son.
