Awesome Printer for the Money
I've had several epson printers in the past with great success, so I decided to purchase this one. Its a great printer. Not only does it print very quick, but the scanner is awesome. It even has a tray on the top of the printer so you can scan up to 30 pages without having to scan them 1 page at a time. Also, the ability to change the ink colors individually is always a plus. Can't go wrong with this printer.

So far so good..
This product arrived free shipping in record time from Amazon. After opening the box I was impressed with the quality and weight (lightweight) of the machine. During set up I discovered no cartridges were included (as promised) in the box so I called the Epson 800 number. A helpful agent answered within reasonable time (less than 2 minutes) and promised to send missing items in 3 business days maximum to our house. Items (cartridges) did arrive within three days and set up was a breeze (20 minutes total). You will need to supply a USB cord (as indicated in description). Print quality is superior to any I've seen in this price category. Highly recommended!

Epson WorkForce 500 all-in-one printer, fax, copier, scanner
The company must have misplaced my order because when I inquired about it after about 5 days, they hadn't yet shipped. But they gave me a small credit and then sent it out immediately. When it did arrive, I set it up and tried all the functions and it seems very nice for the money. I like that it has 4 separate ink cartridges.

Faxing
The printing and scanning are satisfactory, but faxing documents directly from the PC is not possible, but must be first, printed out, scanned and then faxed. If you only do a small amount of faxing then this printer is for you.

A high quality, well designed printer with good software as well as hardware
I bought this a few weeks ago for $99 and think it's excellent. The print quality is as good as I've seen in a regular printer, and with the scanner/fax/copier thrown in it becomes quite a deal.
The printer driver lets you set up shortcuts to common print settings, and offers a lot of customization. It has a quiet mode, and the printer is reasonably quiet and fast. It was easy to remove the taskbar icon and hide the print status popups, low ink reminders, and internet update reminders.
The inks give a more matte finish than usual in inkjets I think. The scanner is as good as my old Canon $60 scanner. It's best to leave these printers on all the time as otherwise they use up a noticeable amount of ink when initializing.
There aren't many negatives. The printer is quite slow when printing in highest quality, it's fast in other settings. When you're printing big photos, the ink smells pretty bad. It would be nice to have a driver setting to turn off the printer's LCD control panel, or at least to set how long it remains on after printing.
