Nice Purchase
Glad I bought this. The first night after receiving the Datexx Sentina Emergency Smart Light, my electricity went out - and the light came on! Doesn't need any charging. Plugged in where the "nightlight" doesn't bother my sleeping ( the nightlight feature is somewhat bright for my taste), I am able to find my way around a dark house when the motion sensor comes on. No more stumbleing. The motion sensor stays on just the right amout of time. I have also found the flashlight feature very handy - was looking for an emergency light with a flashlight that stays on for a decent amount of time. All in all, this little smart light is very comforting to have around. Will buy a second one before winter.

Love this light
I feel like a geek fan-girl, but I love this light. Both the flashlight and the night light have separate switches for setting them (flashight has Auto, On, Off; night light has On, Off). I don't really need the night light, but if my niece or nephews spend the night, it works well for them. The flashlight, however, has been wonderful for me because it keeps me from stubbing my toe in the middle of the night. I have it angled so that when I get out of bed, the flashlight comes on to light my way down the hall. The motion detector seems to have a pretty good distance; it is about 3 feet from the bedroom door but comes one when I walk into the room. Don't know how I got along without it for so long! I've also used it as a handy nightlight for looking for things under the bed and behind tvs and vcrs when I need to change cables.

Okay as a rechargeable flash light (if you don't need too much light.) But as a motion activated light it leaves a lot to be desired.

GREAT BUY
Excelent product, took me a while to choose between so many similar products offered, but this was definately a great buy, the lights are really bright, you don't need to turn off the lamps on our night visits to the bathroom, the night sensor is good enough not to go off when there's still some light from outside, the motion sensor function is flawless. For this price this is an excelent buy. Bought two for now, one for the living and one for the master bedroom, and I'd like to get a couple more for the second bathroom and maybe one for the kitchen. Excelent flashlight also!!!

CONCEPT IS GREAT BUT PERFORMANCE IS LACKING
When this was first bought/installed it worked perfectly. However, after a few months the device would not light until after it was walked past versus previously detecting motion before the device was reached. The idea was to illuminate the hall before completely walking down it. This device no longer does that. I will look for a different brand or/and device.
