Works for my LG CU515
I purchased the $19.95 download version of this software directly from DataPilot for my LG CU515 (I got a perfectly fine data cable for my phone from Amazon for $1.35). My phone is not supported by BitPim at this time, but since BitPim is freeware you should check to see if it might be a viable alternative for your phone before you spend money for this. From past experience I know it can be tricky to get a cell phone and PC communicating. The Pix 'n Tunes software installs easily enough, and has to install several USB-serial drivers, which may be why getting communications going typically requires some fiddling. Initially, the installed program couldn't find my phone, so I rebooted my PC and got a little closer. This time the software suggested removing the battery from the phone, letting it sit long enough so when the battery was reinstalled the phone would have to reboot. Presto! All was golden, although I had to use the communications drop down list and pick an alternate COM port to make first contact. I was then able to upload pics and download ring tones and graphics. I was even able to switch the cable over to my wife's phone in the same session. Pix 'n Tunes does not provide access to your contact list or things like games (presumably why it's cheaper than the more expensive DataPilot software, which incidentally at present doesn't support the LG CU line of phones). The software's editing capability is crude (ie., any editing is best accomplished using something else), but for its primary purpose it does fine. From past experience I know Susteen's customer service is non-existent, so if you have issues you are probably on your own. I give the software 4 stars because it does work (at least for me) and does 2 of the 3 things I really wanted ... I can install my own ring tones and pics, but it doesn't provide any means for managing my contact list. Of these, the contact list is least important since in a pinch I can get it from the phone's SIM chip.

Poor performance
I bought the data cable, and then downloaded the software from their site. First of all, the photo downloading software doesn't work. It starts to download, then fails and tells me to reboot my phone. It does this over and over. The only reason I bought the product was to download photos, which it will not do. Second of all, AFTER you buy the software they tell you that they will charge you $9.99 to return it - even the downloaded version. I am going to return the cable and dispute the charge on the software, because it's a defective product that doesn't work.

Wish I could give it negative stars
What I sucky product. Installed the software, did an update and my phone was not listed in the software even though it was on the website. I emailed techsupport and it took the, 5 days to get back to me. They said to do another update so I did. This time my phone was on the list, selected it, it was detected and said it was ready to go and that my phone supported both features of the software. Then when I tried to transfer an image or whatever or a song to the phone and it says that my phone is not supported. I decided to to look into a refund and find out that they charge a $9.95 processing fee to refund the download-able version!! I only payed 16 for it, what an awful company and an awful product. Stay Away!!!

not to happy
I suppose if your phone is supported by this product it would be fine. I can't really say because my phone didn't work with it. Although I was under the impression that it was supposed to. After it didn't work, I went directly to their website and downloaded the version that was supposed to work with my phone and so far it hasn't worked either. I can't even get the program to launch. I've tried to email them about the problem and haven't recieved anything helpful. The one message they sent to me didn't help. I haven't had a chance to call the service phone number yet due to lack of time, but that is my next step.
If you buy it make double sure that your phone is supported first. Otherwise it is a waste of time and money.

A waste of money and time!
The Pix n' Tunes can deliver neither! The phone-end connector is poorly designed and looses connection easily if moved slightly.
The software goes through endless installations of drivers and still does not "find" the phone (Verizon LG-VX5300), or rather it will at times identify the phone but then refuse to communicate with it.
I would expect better from a piece of shareware.
You would think that with so many camera phones out there that somebody would have a workable transfer solution?
