If you LOVE S.E.X., it's a great CD
Okay, I know rockers love to party and have sex but do all of their songs have to be about that? Their last few CD's were so much better and I am a disappointed fan. I do like "If Today Were Your Last Day" and the one currently playing on the radio "Gotta be Somebody".
I'd like to be a rockstar for a day though....sex, drugs and rock and roll.

Dark Horse by Nickelback
Dark Horse by Nickelback is the type of "noise" that you just can't seem to get used to. There's always some type of airhead who is going to listen to this rubbish. A cross between mall metal and limpid rock, it's not appetizing at all. Transparent vocals, grinding guitar work and a country music ethic.
Not my style at all.

Nickelback remains the greatest band in existance.
I've been a die hard Nickelback fan since I saw them on MTV a few years back, and have been amazed by how great their musical career is progressing. I remember the day i saw the video for "How You Remind Me", and I instantly fell in love with this band. Chad has one of the greatest vocals in the history of hard rock;and his guitar skills prove that he's God in comparison to over rated guitarist of the past.
This CD demonstrates their ability to make another superb album, regardless of what negative critics say. 5 stars is not enough for this band or album.

excellent followup
to their previous effort, All The Right Reasons. This time around the guys in Nickelback bring even more energy this time around. From the start to finish each song ramps up the music and takes the fans both old and new on a well deserved musical ride.
"Something in Your Mouth" starts off the new effort and has much going for it. By way of Chad's vocals and playing of the rest of the band. It's a fast, furious fun song that should be released as the next single off the album.
"Gotta Be Somebody"
"I'd Come For You"
"Next Go Round"
"Just To Get High" feels like it could be an extension of "Rockstar" (just with some of the lyrics from this song) off "All The Right Reasons"
These are just a few of the songs that should be relistened to and ones that should be getting released as future singles of the album. This album is a bit more upbeat than the last not comparing the two because they are different. "Dark Horse" is the album that should have fans off the fence and into the Nickelback area of things as it's fun to listen to more than just once and should be a favorite for sometime to come. Excellent effort all around by the guys.

Powerful
I am not the biggest Nickel Fan, have all their albums but to be honest do not hear the entire album, but, when I got Dark Horse I let it play during the whole Internet surfing session and let me say that i Liked all of the song on this one. Most are so powerful and deep, that it really made me repeat it for at least 4 time last night. Best songs are : Something in your mouth, Gotta be somebody, I'd Come For you, I today was... Burn it to... and the best of all as a ballad, IMHO, For me, and deep slow songs fans, Never gonna be alone.
