Editorial Review:Product Description:One of the reasons of the Cokin success story is that Cokin is permanently in close contact with both professional and amateur photographers and videographers, so as to listen to their ideas and precise needs. The products launched by Cokin are therefore always perfectly adapted to real needs.
Amazon.com Product Description:Cokin filters were invented by professional photographer Jean Coquin. By using square filters like Cokin's, which fit into a holder and are attached to a lens via an adapter ring, the photographer has a number of immediate advantages. There is no need to duplicate filters to fit different size lenses, up to three filters can be used at once to create unique effects, and the photographer has control over the positioning of the effect on the photograph.

Cokin P087 Pastel 2 Filter
The pastel filter can be used to add delicate pastel hues to your subject. All you need is a pleasant subject, a backlit, scene or a simple tree or landscape. You can combine the pastel with the orange filters (029, 030, and 031), with the blue filters (020, 021, 022, 023, 024, and 025) or even with a Cokin Star or Fog, to name a few.
Helpful hints: Experiment First, as exposure is tricky. Check exposure with the filter in position. Then depending on the subject, open the lens a stop or two as tendency toward overexposure is recommend.
This filter should not be inserted into the rear groove but placed far forward. The distance between your lens and the Pastel filter can be varied by using the Cokin Modular Hood and a Coupling ring.
