Rating: - The buy is ok
The detector works, i don't feel it works all the time, for example one time i was driving to class and there was this cop with someone pulled over and the emergency signled on the detector started to sound, fine thats good, but however sometime later there was this cop car with its signal on and the detector didn't go off until after the cop passed me. not good. The way i feel it works is intermittenly, on the highway in highway mode it rocks, but in the city on city mode its hard to say what it might, or might not do.

Rating: - Very surprised !
Bought this for my son and placed this detector side by side with my Bel Vector 995 and it alerted almost simultaniously on the K band on a stationary radar unit. I drove by and did multiple test with the same results. I can't speak for any of the other bands, but most of the units around this area are K band with some Ka's. I bought this unit for around $50. I think it's well worth that considering I payed over 4 times that for the Vector.

Rating: - Great for commuters
This radar detector is the greatest investment i have made for my car by far.
I drive a sports car, have a lead foot, and a speeding ticket, already prior to purchasing this detector. I drive a 45 minute commute everyday to school, and everytime it has beeped and showed up with the radar being shot, there has always been a cop.

It gives you plenty of time to slow down, without getting caught.

Would never drive my own vehicle without one again.

I have been using the cobra radar detector now for 3 weeks, its right on except for false alarms, I would recommend this product.

Rating: - Radar Detector
This is for my wife's car, so i don't use it a whole lot. i have an older version cobra radar detector and i can tell it reads more than mine. great product, and amazon helped out a lot when there was a bump in shipping.
