Amazon.com:
Few bands of the 1960s retained as much a sense of the roots of rock and roll as did Creedence Clearwater Revival. Their music is rife with country, rockabilly, and R&B influences, a combination that produced several hit singles--most of which are present on this collection. These include 'I Heard It through the Grapevine,' 'Lodi,' 'Up Around the B ,' 'Who'll Stop the Rain,' and of course 'Bad Moon Rising.' This is an excellent greatest-hits collection, and a perfect introduction to the music of a band that has been enduringly influential. --Genevieve Williams

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Songs
Credence Clearwater Revival and John Fogerty are classic rock at its best, a mixture of blues, rock and catchy songwriting created memorable songs that still have people singing these today.

This is a good collection of many of their hits and well known songs and I put it on the CD player for my children and they now are singing along.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Eparaima
Anyone out there know if CCR have a live dvd out.....love to see them live in concert...........Eps

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Credence 20 greatest hits
Although I would still recomend this cd,the volume level is low,and the bass weak;disappionting for any cd. Roy

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Hot Wax
For the few of you that complained about "tinny" sound, Fogerty's place in the overall mix and found it not worth downloading or buying, here's a novel idea: Why don't you pick up the excellent vinyl pressing? You do have a turntable, don't you?

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Classic Swamp Rock "MUST HAVE"
If there is a single Classic Rock disc to own, this would be it. When you consider this music provided the soundtrack to the Vietnam War, you might consider buying it to be owning a bit of history. Go back up above and read down those song titles. Do you have any fond memories associated with any of them? My problem, at age 56, is that I have a fond memory associated with EVERY ONE OF THEM.

Now CCR plays music that's pretty accessible to everyone that hears it, but when you go below that layer, the things that make the songs stand up for all these years is dynamic songwriting and kickass musicianship across the board.

If you don't believe me, pick up the concert DVD by John Fogerty: The Long Road Home and SEE these hits performed. I believe it's impossible to be unaffected by what you see and hear there. He still performs his music with that 'fire in the belly' you like to see in older musicians.

So back to this disc... he originally recorded these in his 20's. Imagine the 'fire in the belly' factor then...

This one is good stuff. You need to own it.

Sales of semiconductors in November indicate that consumer products such as LCD (liquid crystal display) TVs, digital music players, and other devices sold well during the holidays, the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) said Monday.

November chip sales rose 2.3 percent year-on-year to $23.1 billion, the SIA said.

Unit demand has far outpaced last year. But falling chip prices have hurt industry revenue, the chip association said. For example, DRAM (dynamic RAM) bit shipments grew 25 percent in the three months through mid-December, but average selling prices have declined 20 percent over the same period.

The association also noted that rising energy prices and concerns about the sub-prime lending issue in the U.S. do not appear to have had a significant impact on consumer spending for the holidays, the SIA said. The group reiterated its forecast that worldwide semiconductor sales will reach a new record in 2007. But it will take a stronger than expected December selling season to reach the 3.8 percent growth goal the group had forecast earlier this year, the SIA said.

Investment banking firm Credit Suisse was not as optimistic as the SIA.

The November data was below normal seasonal trends, noted analyst John Pitzer, in a report on Monday. Even if December reaches its normal seasonal growth, 2007 industry revenue will only reach $255.7 billion, up 3.2 percent over last year. The growth percentage would fall short of the SIA's 3.8 percent target.

The slow November prompted Credit Suisse to lower its 2008 chip industry revenue forecast to 9.4 percent year-on-year growth, down from a previous target of 13 percent.
