The product flat closes with a small magnet, this allows the flap to come open if you are backpacking, or do a lot of bending over. I use a used rubber band around the case and it works just fine.

Rating: - Excellent case for the Canon camera
I bought this to go with my wife's new Canon PowerShot SD1100IS 8MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom (Blue). The camera fits perfectly in it and has a magnetic flap that keeps the flap securely in place. While it adds to the bulk of the camera, it's a small price to pay to keep the camera safe. It's definitely a must add-on for the Canon camera.

Rating: - STINKS!
This case had a terrible odor to it when I opened the package. It looks nice and I assume it would fit the camera well, but I never tried it because of the terrible stink! I even left it sitting out on a protected porch for a few days, but the odor never went away. Look for something else - I found a nice case by Case Logic that not only holds the camera but also holds a memory card & battery and is still very small (but not blue unfortunately).
