Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - great experience
I am a novice at photography but i think this camera takes good pictures in spite of your inexperience. It has quite a lot of functions and that gives the user a lot of work to do in trying to get accustomed to it but i am so glad i bought it.Its worth so much more than it cost!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Nice balance of features and price
I've been into photography most of my adult life. I have owned several cameras, even of the film variety back in the day. I currently own three pro level DSLRs and own a couple of midsized "prosumer" models.
I was looking for a small, compact camera with good quality and full motion video capabilities.

After some research, I chose the Canon Poershot SD770 IS primarily for its image quality and portability. The optical image stabilization is very useful in a camera this small since the pressing of the shutter can cause blurry images due to camera shake.
The image is a bit soft on the edges when viewed at 100 percent on your computer screen, but this is expected and much better quality than most in this category.

Barely larger than a deck of cards, there is no excuse for not having a camera on you when a photographic opportunity presents itself.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Beware the Fatal Lens Error Manufacturer Defect
Had only owned this camera for six weeks when it stopped working. The camera was not dropped and had been handled carefully. When powered on, the LCD displayed "Lens Error" and the camera never worked again. I loved the camera but will not replace it with another Canon as there seems to be an across the board manufacturer defect with Canon products at this time. Canon plays dumb to this but search google for Canon Lens Error and see for yourself before making your purchase. I was fortunate that Office Depot stood behind the product because Canon did not.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great image
This is a fine pocket camera. It is small enough to take anywhere but the lens and 10 megapixel combination make it possible to get superb results.
Value for cash.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Nice weight, Eady to hold, Clear shots
This is my third digital camera and the lightest weight, smallest size with the best shot.
I a case for the camera. The Canon cases do not work so well. I ended up buying a sony case for my camera.
I have a 2 1/2 year old that most cameras only catch the back of her - I niw get great face shots.
