Rating: - Review of an owner of its first digital camera
I've chosen a Canon ELPH Digital, because I own an ELPH APS film Canon camera, and it still works perfectly after 10 years. So, expectations were high but I was not even a bit disapointed with the PowerShot SD1000 7.1 MP Digital ELPH.
The camera is easy to use and since it comes with 2 User Guides, one Basic and the other one Advanced, you can begin taking pictures right away. You don't have to read a thick Guide in order to start. The computer software was installed on a laptop with Windows XP without any problem.
Picture quality is very good and an 8"x10" print looks like it came from a film camera.
I recomend this camera to anyone looking for a digital substitute of a point and shoot film camera with the same print quality.

I have been looking for a camera to replace my Nikon Coolpix 4200 which was about 4 years old and was not crazy about the new Nikons. This has everything I was looking for. It takes great pictures and is really easy to use. The software for editing the pictures is great too. Highly recommend.

Small, compact camera, takes good pictures, decent zoom, ok video (w/sound). Only thing missing is an anti-shake technology.
