AKA: Gestapo's Last Orgy-
pretty bizarre italian Nazi sexploitation film, but without the titilation and the Nazis didn't look very German. well maybe like some southern germans, but on the whole not very german looking.
as for the title, no hitler, no caligula. but caligula was roman and romans are the ancestors of today's italians... so a roundabout connection excuse for the title? but no hitler. maybe caligula reincarnated as Cammandant Starker? But that wouldn't have made sense to folks. And since Starker wanted a transfer to the Eastern front for more honorable service, maybe the title could've been : Caligula reincarnated as Alma? She was the sadistic Venus in furs, co-Commandantin. The alternate title, closer to the Italian, "Gestapo's last orgy" is somewhat better.
lots of ewww moments. One "Huh?" moment: Hair panty. Yep. Panties made of long light brown hair. thoroughly untitilating.
a curiosty film to say the least.
why was this made? did this actually net a profit?

Highly offensive and sick.
First let me state that if you are looking for a women in prison movie with a good amount of nudity, and the insensitive nature of what nazis (lack of capitalization is intentional) did to holocaust victims being as just a subject to get off on does not bother you, you may like this movie. I have no idea what I was thinking when I rented this. This movie is about a concentration camp of primarily female prisoners. The story takes place in one continuous flashback of a nazi who had been a commander at the now defunct camp. This is barely a story of continuity, rather a pastiche of attrocities committed at this camp, but presented for your enjoyment. One of the suggested attrocities includes a dinner scene where the nazis are having a rather unappetizing meal that turns out to be a Jewish infant. A Jewish server upon learning what the meal is, faints. They put her body on the table, pour flammable liquid over her, and set her on fire while laughing and having a roast. If one wonders if they were using this to show the nazis in a negative light, then why is the protaganist of the story a nazi who is recalling fond memories, but presented sympathetically? If I feel that the makers of this film were anti-semetic and were making a cruel film for their own misgivings, that would just be an assumption. Unfortunately this waste of good film stock suggests nothing to the contrary. The scenes I have mentioned are staged and are not actual footage (just to make that clear).--Bob
