Amazon.com Product Description:
Series 7, the 'first of a new kind' - a new top of the line shaving system from Braun and a revolution in shaving technology. It has been uncompromisingly engineered to capture more hair with every stroke, even problem hairs, for Braun.s closest and most comfortable shave ever.

Braun Series 7 motor sends over 10,000 micro-vibrations per minute through the shaver head to gently stimulate the skin, causing it to ripple, which helps capture and shave more hairs with every stroke. The hair is shaved with high-speed precision using leading edge Gillette Blade Technology. For added closeness and comfort, Braun Series 7 incorporates a Sensitive Flexing Head, which follows the contours of a man's face with twice the pivoting angle of other Braun shavers, and shaves hard-to-reach areas using touch sensitive foils that respond to the slightest change in skin surface. Additionally, Braun Series 7 is the world's first shaver brand with an ENERGY STAR-qualified battery charger, which recognizes the shaver's energy-efficient design and Braun's commitment to environmental sustainability.

Braun Series 7 features the world's most intelligent Clean&Renew system that automatically cleans, lubricates, dries and charges the shaver at the touch of a button. It features a new Fast Clean mode (available only in 9595 model) that cleans the shaver in just 25 seconds, which is ideal for men on the go. For occasions when the Clean&Renew system is not available, the Series 7 shaver head can be washed under running water. The shaver also incorporates a modern, ergonomic design that combines an elegant silver and chrome finish with sleek lines.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - electric shaver technology
This Braun shaver series seven, matches the claims made for its effectiveness. Having tried electric shavers in the past, this is the only one that cuts my beard with hairs growing in at a variety of angles in a smooth consistent way. Always before, I had to revert to my wet shave razor blade technology, but not this time. I needed an electric shaver due to broken bones in my right shoulder preventing me from using my right hand, and I am right handed. I could use this shaver with my left hand while my bones were healing, and much to my surprise I got a very close shave, with a minimum of razor burn. I plan to make this my permanent shaver and can eliminate the wet shave altogether except in an electrical blackout/emergency lasting several days.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Braun Series 7-790cc Pulsonic Shaver
I am a new user of the Braun series Pulsonic shaver and am
very satisfied with its performance. It is much easier to
cover large areas of my face, especially squaring off my
sideburns, and I have tried many brands of electric shavers. Furthermore, the pressure is minimal with good
cutting action. Though I am nearly 90 years of age, retired with plenty of time on my hands, I still like the
speed with which I can accomplish this necessary daily task. Also, the cleaning feature is slick!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Shaver
This shaver is as close on most areas as when I use my Gillette Fusion Power (5 blades). There are a few areas on my neck that the hairs lay so close to the skin, it takes probably five strokes, or a twisting action to get it close. But, there is NO discomfort with the Braun Pulsonic as there is with a blade. Some people say the cleaning system is not as good as the razor, being expensive, noisy, etc. I agree that it is rather noisy, but if you think about the ease of use factor, it's not that expensive. The cleaning system cleans, lubricates, and dries the shaver, and very well at that. You don't have to worry about leaving it open to dry after rinsing it clean, or lubricating it once a week, since the water doesn't lubricate it. The solution has a semi-pleasant, citrus smell. The unit remembers how much it's been run since the last cleaning, and the base adjusts the cleaning cycle to that.

Pros:
easy to use
comfortable on your face
ergonomical (for me anyway)
close (let your face get used to it for a while before you judge)
built very solid
cartridges of solution make for easy changing (no bottles to mess with)
base is reasonably sized, especially compared to a cleaning base for a rotary shaver, which doesn't heat dry it
has a lcd to remind you when to change the foil and cutter

Cons:
Cleaning cycles are reasonably noisy
cleaning cartridges represent additional expense (although only about $5.50 a cartridge, which should last almost two months if you clean every other shave, {get it down so there's two bars left in the hygiene meter, so it'll stay on the normal clean cycle.})

Final Thoughts:
I paid $130 two years ago for a self cleaning rotary shaver. this is not even twice the price, and is MUCH more than twice as good. I will never go back to a rotary. Reasonably priced, although it could be a little cheaper, maybe around $180 would be the price at which I wouldn't go with ANYTHING else.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Not great for me
I have an average beard, and this razor did a great job on my actual face. The problem was that it just wouldn't pick up the hairs under my jaw and on my neck, even after a month. I finally returned the razor to Braun since I kept having to shave with a regular razor afterwards anyway. Most people seem to have a positive experience, so I would still recommend others try it. I was just one of the few for which it didn't work so well.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Noy worth the money
I've always used rotary shavers, which did the job. This razor does the job but takes longer and is louder. Paying for the auto clean is a waste of money it takes a few minutes to do it yourself.

We've covered in too much detail how it's some sort of "open season" on Vonage when it comes to VoIP patents. After dealing with ridiculous and expensive patent lawsuits from companies who failed to actually innovate in the same way Vonage did, the company was pressured by Wall Street to quickly settle the various patent lawsuits filed against the company. Of course, rather than settle matters, that simply opened the door for other companies to go searching through their patent portfolios to see if there was anything they could sue Vonage over. Indeed, following those settlements it didn't take long for AT&T to dig up a patent and sue -- which was quickly settled as well. Thought things were over? No such luck. Nortel just showed up last month to sue and it took all of about a week and a half for Vonage to settle that case as well.

The Nortel case is slightly different because Vonage actually already had a patent infringement lawsuit going against Nortel, but it wasn't really initiated by Vonage. Instead, it had been initiated by a patent holding firm that Vonage bought in 2006. The end result of the settlement doesn't involve money changing hands, but just a cross licensing agreement for the patents. So what's the big lesson that Vonage and others have learned from this? It's certainly got nothing to do with innovating. It's to hoard as many patents as possible so that you have your own nuclear stockpile for when someone else sues you. Want to know why the USPTO is overwhelmed? It's not because there aren't enough examiners (as some will claim) or that there aren't enough funds. It's because the way the system now works is that you are supposed to file patents on every tiny little advancement so you can use it to protect yourself against lawsuits from everyone else. That's not about innovation. It's about waste. In the meantime, since it's still open season at Vonage, who's going to be next? There are a ton of other patents in the VoIP space that can surely be used in a lawsuit, right?
