a modern classic
This CD contains the complete Berlitz Think and Talk German course. This course consists of fifty short (eight to ten minute), all German language scenes from which the student derives meaning, usage, and grammar in much the same way that one learned one's own native language. If the Berlitz method of teaching completely in the target language works for you (It does for me, but I understand some people hate it.); and if you like or can tolerate learning from a computer program, then this CD is a terrific buy...you get the same course you'd get if you bought the tapes version, but you pay lots and lots less.

I gave it a 1 because there is no zero.
Its worthless, utterly worthless. My father was born in Germany, and speaks the language fluently, having lived there 26 years. He watched me use this software and told me it is not going to teach anyone German. Don't waste your money on this software.

Grating on the nerves
I purchased several items in order to begin to learn German. I found this product to be the most annoying. The software is archaic and difficult to navigate. Also, the method of teaching employed involves total immersion in German, with no accompanying translations of the words being taught. However, the software does offer several ways to practice the vocabulary for each lesson, with spoken and written exercises. In combination with other books and audio CDs, these exercises were a little helpful, but overall I gained the least knowledge from this product.

Excellent learning tool
My girlfriend is German and I am trying to learn the language. I have tried many different products from books to audio tapes and computer software programs. So far I have found this program most helpful used along with a book (Essential German) from Berlitz. Software is easy to use and I have experienced learning the language effortlessly. I only paied [$] for my copy which was money well spent. If you are serious to learn the language, I recommend it as one of the sources that will come helpful. Probably your best bet is to have several books, audio tools, and computer programs and learn them all. Good luck to you.

I EXPECTED SOME MORE
This method seems to be a little one. It only has 1 CD rom and NO WORKBOOK, just another methods.
