A so -so product
I have had the same issues with my Sirius SIRCK3 Mobile dock... I have had it for about 8 months and then one day the Mobile dock just stopped working. The one for inside the house works fine so I know it is the car adapter... and I really like the receiver, but the mobile dock is a real bummer. $50 down the drain!

Positioning and Power cord problems
When I installed this, I had difficulty getting the Sirius unit positioned properly to view it from the driver's seat. I then figured out (it wasn't in the instructions) how to "click" it into different positions, using enough force, it seemed, that I thought the plastic would break.
It worked OK for about a year, then stopped working. I knew it was the car kit because my Sirius unit still worked in the home kit. I cannibalized parts from the home kit, which is very similar to the car kit, until I located the problem which was the cigarette lighter power cord. Broken conductor, probably, as the fuse was OK. The wires in the cord are quite thin. I went to Radio Shack and they have a power cord that worked and looks to be of higher quality, the same guage wire as most of your lamp cords at home. With a polarity adapter, it now works again.

SIRCK3 Mobile Dock
My unit works flawlessly. I have two of these, one for my truck, the other for my wife's car.
After using this kit for a while , I decided that the best way to install it was to use an aftermarket "vechicle specific" mount for both cars. That way, I don't have to use the generic one supplied with the original kit. I didn't want to just tape it to the dash, and drilling was out of the question. This seems to be just the ticket. Although the aftermarket mount cost about $30.00 more, it installed easily and really makes a clean look to the satellite radio.
The 21 foot antenna cord makes hiding it out of the way a breeze. I had to route the antennas under the carpet and center consoles of both cars, but it did get rid of the clutter of wires.

Works Great
I have had absolutely no problems with my car kit. The design is actually pretty good, and the self-stick tape holds it in place quite well. I have had no problems with power ... the thing just works. Too bad the PNP3 is discontinued. It was one of the best Sirius tuners out, and the home and car kits were both great.
