And unlike many traditional shelf systems, the SIR-BB3 won't weigh you down, as it comes in at a sleek 5.88 pounds. To ensure quality reception, the boombox comes with a high-gain antenna (with a 20-foot cord) that can mount on both horizontal and vertical surfaces either indoors or outdoors. It also offers an AC adapter for indoor use. When you go outside, simply plug in eight D-cell batteries and you're prepared for hours of portable radio listening. Additional features include a headphone jack and a 3.5 mm auxiliary input for connecting to a portable audio device such as an iPod or CD player.

overall good product
sounds good no problem carrying with one hand. only drawback is when i took it camping eats up batteries in about 4 hrs of use. take extra set of batteries.

SIR-BB3 Boombox
Not a bad unit. Good Price, good looking, decent sound. Definitely a must if you want to make full use of your radio unit. Had a small problem when I first tried the box. Only played out of one speaker. I was pretty bummed. Easy fix. Turns out the contacts were dirty on the radio plug. Cleaned them off and worked like a charm.
Good: Price, portability, looks.
Bad: Could use more bass, antenna very sensitive to position.

I highly recommend this boombox to anyone with the SIR-PNP3 satellite radio. The sound is fantastic and the portability comes in handy.

Great Sirius Accessory
I love listening to sirius in my office during the day. The channels I like to listen to are Court TV and CNN, which are not available via the computer. The only down side to the boombox is that there is no carrying handle. There is a place to put one's hand, but it is not conducive to carrying. It is perfect if you are going to put in one place and keep it there.

Great for home use!
I bought this boombox back in June of 2005, and is extremely pleased. It is great for listening in and out of the home. Great purchase. You won't be sorry for purchasing this satellite radio boombox.
