Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Happy so far
I've mainly been a PC user, but recently decided to try an Apple laptop. Overall, I like the more reliable Apple, and except for a few things that I miss from the PC world, it's a fine laptop.

However, there were several things I wanted to mention that could be better:

1. The screen brightness is sensitive to the viewing angle, especially up and down, although not so much side to side. I haven't noticed a problem with this on a PC based laptop in many years.

2. Macs apparently lack the right click shortcuts for the mouse, since there's only one mouse button, which I find less convenient.

3. This is a minor point, but when you click on History when using Safari, you don't get a list of your links, but have to make one more choice, depending on what you want. I'd prefer just to get a drop-down list of all my URLs at that point, rather than having to make one more step.

4. Finally, the keyboard feel is pretty good, but I'd prefer smaller keys like on most PC laptops. The bigger keys feel a bit clumsy and slow down my typing.

Overall, though, I'm very happy with the unit and think it's a good product.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Really nice total package
My daughters had both saved money for about a year for a computer. I had to decide to go the Windows path or to go with Apple. (We use both in our office and as the owner of the company I'm the default IT guy.)
We could have bought equivalent processing speed and features about 20% cheaper with Windows, but I would be the one who had to maintain the things so we went with these MacBooks.
One of the best decisions I've made this year.
They worked great out of the box for what the girls wanted to do. My wife used one and now doesn't want to touch my Dell laptop. She was shocked when she saw how easy it was to save a document as a PDF file or setup a new printer.
We downloaded NeoOffice and that works well.
Only challenge was setting up the wireless network. Nowhere in our Netgear wireless router documentation does it tell you the PassKey is in Hex. Luckily the Mac shows hexidecimal as an option so once I saw that the job was done.
Terrific product for us

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Good, but a crappy casing
I have switched from PC to Mac and do not regret it. Great features, lightweight, stylish, creative. It works for me. However, I have had mine for 3 months and the plastic casing where your wrist sits when you type has chipped off and is now coming apart in slivers of white plastic. I currently have medical tape covering it to stop the ripping and to give my hand something to sit on without cutting my hand on sharp plastic.

Quite pathetic to have a 3 month old machine with tape on it.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - This unit rocks!!!
This laptop is just the neatest thing. Wireless setup was extremely easy, it walks you thru it.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Laptop
Great Laptop. Works better than any windows based Laptop I have had, and it has enough memory to run Windows Boot Camp too!
