Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Apple has terrible support for this product, RUN!
I bought a Mac mini last year from the online Apple Store. I also bought AppleCare with the machine. I have had nothing but problems with the unit since the first month. The video card is apparantly bad and when the machine heats up the machine freezes and the video tears and in a few more minutes blanks out completely. All you can do is pull plug and you must wait for about 20 minutes and then you can start again.

I brought this machine into a local Apple Store here in NJ twice. As Apple has no drop off service and you must wait for a "GENIUS", the first time I waited all night and was bumped when the store closed and had to leave with my bad Mac mini. I returned a few weeks later and the "GENIUS" finally looked at the machine. He refused to test the machine for maore than a few minutes (which of course it worked as it did not go bad yet), he refused to allow me to leave it, so back home again with bad Mac mini.

Now the Mac mini is so bad it will not boot and stay up for more than a few minutes, so I call the AppleCare phone number and I am told to take BACK to an AppleStore. I told them I bought online, not at a store and after TWO prior visits to the Apple Store without results, I just want to mail it to Apple for repair. I was informed NO! Even with two bad experiences, I can not mail anything to Apple as it is NOT an iBook or PowerBook.

So what did I buy AppleCare for? I told them I would NOT visit the Apple Store again and wait again for hours! So I am given a list of places they say I can take it to (Apple Reseller Repair Stations), well I told them on the phone that three of the four places they gave me are OUT OF BUSINESS and the forth is CompUSA (I would rather throw it in the garbage before visting a CompUSA for a repair). PCWarehouse, SafeNET, and OdysseyTek in NJ are all gone or no longer do repairs!

This is NOT service. Is Apple RUNNING FROM THEIR problems. Sounds MORE LIKE DELL, than Apple.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - The First "Fashion Statement" Computer
Once you get over the "oooh its so tiny" phase, you'll realize what a hose job this unit really is. Apple always tries to nickel and dime the heck out of you, because they think they offer trendy products. Look at the accessories this thing DOESNT come with for the price. Mouse? Keyboard? Monitor? UPGRADEABILITY? Sure, its a great price if you never want to actually USE or upgrade it in the future. In fact, right on Apple's website they mention that the computer is NOT user servicable, if you ever want to add RAM or anything else, you must send away to have it done by a technician. Uh, no thanks. And alright, so many computers dont come with a monitor. But try to find an Apple monitor under 699. Go ahead. So once you buy everything you need, you'll have paid $1500...FOR A MAC MINI. If you're looking to save space with your computer purchase, for the same price you can get a very nice Dell or HP notebook with a near top of the line processor, widescreen LCD display, and you can do little things with it like buy usable software, upgrade, or have it be compatible with 90% of the computing world. Apple has to market their products like a fashion statement because they know how much of a rip off their products are for what they actually offer, and that if it wasnt "cool" to buy them, nobody would. So have fun paying for Apple's advertising budget and being stuck with a lousy, overpriced and underperforming product. I'll buy something I can actually use and put the rest of the money into a savings account.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I love this little gem.
My main computer is a Windows PC which I use for my home-based business. But for entertainment I use my Mac Mini.It is super quiet and easy to use. I use it as for iPhoto, iTunes, and DVD movie playback on a 17" LCD monitor. For speakers I am using the Logitech Z-2300. Music played thru iTunes is very impressive.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Small and powerful
This is a great computer - small and very powerful. This is the third mac computer in my house. I wanted something small because it is going in the kitchen. Very easy to set up and the Airport found my existing wireless network without me having to put in any information!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - MACTABULOUS!!!
For all those people who are concerned about space restrictions and want a powerhouse computer that will not need a large footprint, the Mac Mini is the perfect solution. Packing a boatload of power into a computer yay bigger than a coaster, there is no better power/space combination in the entire computing world!

For all the Windows users who don't want to make the switch to the Mac, with the newest Mac OS you will not look back once you get used to the ways that Apple does things the way they are SUPPOSED to be done.

As per usual Apple, the design of the Mac Mini is perfect, and it's so quiet that your own heartbeat will no doubt be louder than this quiet monster.

If you need a solid family computer that will allow you to surf the net, work with spreadsheets, check e-mail, or just do 99% of the things that you would like to be doing (I don't say 100% because it's not a gaming machine), pick up a Mac Mini for your home office, kitchen, ANYWHERE and you will NOT be disappointed!!

***** HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Both sides in Kenya's disputed poll accuse the other of violence amid diplomatic efforts to curb the crisis.

Though it has a few design and performance glitches, the Sony Ericsson W300i is a quality, basic MP3 cell phone.

The Mobile Crossing WayPoint 200 is a respectable PDA and an even better GPS device, but the design needs work, and it's too expensive.
