Worthless as AC Adapter, Great Fire Starter
I bought this adapter, against my better IT judgment, hoping to save a buck. This is made in China, shoddy -wires became exposed quickly, and loosened. If you need genuine parts get them. Not worth the potential fire hazard as my unit today, actually started sparking.

Cheapo
This is inexpensive for a reason. The first one I received was split at the seams so the electrical workings could be seen. The seller Osprey Talon was very helpful and promptly sent me a replacement. The replacement is OK because they used more glue on the seams. The quality is still lower than the original HP adapter; where at least the seams snapped together securely, with more than just glue. Get the original HP if you can afford it.
UPDATE: I have had the replacement for a couple weeks and it is falling apart at the seam (like the first one) and the sheathing is pulling away on the cord. This product is unsafe; a potential electrical disaster. I am not "hard" on these things, they are just really poor quality. Look at the customer images.

Works great, but it gets really hot over long periods of time. Since I usually keep my computer on, this happens quite often. In fact, the adapter itself is starting to deform due to the heat. But other than that, works great in place of my broken one

Works great!
Same product as what HP sells for half the price. Works as advertised. How can you go wrong?

So much more affordable AND works with HP Pavilion DV6000 series
Like the first reviewer, I broke down and purchased the HP QuickDock and knew I would need to buy a second power cord to keep things simple. This cord is so much more affordable and works fine with my HP Pavilion Compaq DV6000 series laptop.
